Do you want to learn to cook from scratch? Or at least learn to boil water? Students, grades 6th-8th, in the St. Paul Culinary Club will learn to use an oven, stove, crockpot and an Instant Pot for each class. Classes will be taught at a beginner and intermediate level.
Food is central to culture, identity, health, and life. Our hope with the Culinary Club is that students will learn kitchen skills, good sanitation practices, kitchen safety, creativity and gain confidence in the kitchen. Students will start building a cookbook with recipes we have used and additional information on terminology and measuring. We are VERY excited to bring this club to our school.
Students will go home after each class with a meal for (4) people. This year's meals include:
Pierogi – Potato & Cheese and Sweet Cheese
